Guide to Buying Your First Sports Bra
Let's be frank, it's an awkward time.
We all remember the dreaded shopping trip of picking out our first bra. The embarrassment. The silent giggling. The cringe-worthy 'woman' comments made by the sales lady. I don't know if I speak for everyone, but I just wanted to run away and avoid the entire situation. I could use tape? Or maybe no one will notice them?
Braving the situation, I admit that after the fitting and getting my girls into a proper nest, I felt a lot better. It's a milestone that every girl will go through. So, with wings, let's fly into the first-time sports bra guide.
Right Fit
The most important thing about buying a bra is getting the right fit. A properly fitting sports bra can make you feel comfortable and confident in your activity. The worst thing you can do, besides not wearing a bra all together, is wearing the wrong size.
To ensure you're getting a proper fit, please go to our Fitting Guide. You'll find pictures and videos that will help you achieve the perfect fit.
Avoid Underwire
It is advised that underwired bras should not be worn until the bust has fully developed, as wires can restrict and damage tissue growth.
The Right Impact Level for you
As a young girl, you'll be participating in many different types of activities at school and in your free time. Each sport/activity puts different demands on the body and you'll want to protect your bust and feel confident as you run, jump and throw.
